Guys, need a bit of help. I have an admit from NCSU for ECE with specialization in embedded systems.

Guys, need a bit of help. I have an admit from NCSU for ECE with specialization in embedded systems. I thought NCSU was a great school with good research but one of my friend who graduated from NCSU-VLSI told that ES is shit at NCSU and recommended me not to go there. Very much confused now. Help please!
