Got admit from UIC for MIS program. I had applied through shorelight/ UIC global.

Got admit from UIC for MIS program. I had applied through shorelight/ UIC global. I wanted to know what are disadvantages of going as a global student. I heard you can't apply for assistantships or scholarships. And will be there be any issues with the visa approval as well?
