Can we take out a loan worth 1.5 times of the i-20 amount and use it for obtaining the i-20 as well as visa interview

I have got an admit in CSU Fullerton for masters in computer science and they have been asking to provide a financial affidavit for processing my i-20. So due to lack of funds I was wondering if I can take a loan and use it for both purposes
