Visa Interview Experience:

People attending Chennai consulate please go one and half before your slot time because I went at 8 in the morning they asked me to wait and they didn’t allow me so I was standing there for 1 and half hour which was so exhausting. The VI was just for 35 to 45 seconds. The VO was a cool in his late 40's . He gave a blue slip to a girl in front of me. And then it was my turn.

VO: Good morning
ME:
Happy Morning sir! how are you?

VO: I am good (with big smile) how about you?. Give me your passport and i20.
ME:
I am good sir. Yes, sure sir.

VO: Seeing my I20 he asked me University of Colorado Denver (with a really happy face)?
ME:
Yes sir.

VO: Why Denver?
ME:
This school mainly matched my priorities firstly Denver is More of research oriented school and this attracted me to do thesis under the professors like Dr. Gita and Dr. Tom Altman, secondly UCD has a excelent and flexible coursework.

VO: Ok fine. What is your major?
ME:
Computer and Information Sciences.

VO: Who are your sponsors?
ME:
My dad.

VO: What is his annual income?
ME:
Told.

VO: What is your UG major?
ME:
Computer Science.

VO: Plans after graduation?
ME:
I will come back to India as I have my family here and I will start working for a firm as a data analyst.
(Vo typing for sometime and meanwhile I was praying god)

Vo: (putting my passport in a tray) He told those golden words your visa has been approved. congratulations and he said (one more thing) by the way you look pretty vyshnave (vyshnave in a beautiful different slang was just flattered)
ME: With a big smile from ear to ear, thanks a lot sir. You made my day.

VO (Smiles) and he gave me a pamplet and told me to attend the EducationUSAs pre departure orientation on June 23rd in hotel Savera.

My advice is just be confident and have a pleasant smile all over your face.
