• Must have any type of work visa that is listed in one of the Highly Skilled Professional sub-categories (Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services, Intra-Company Transferee, Business Manager, Research Professor).
• Must have lived and worked in Japan for 1 to 3 years.  
• Must have paid all necessary taxes.
• Has a local guarantor or a non-Japanese national with Permanent Residency in Japan. The guarantor should be able to provide required documents relating to his/her identity and income.
