In US under electrical engineering there are several specilizations.
Some of the main ones are power systems, electronics and vlsi

As of now the job market is better for all these fields.

U need to remember that if u have experience it's always easier to get jobs. If u r looking for ur first job then u need to do a lot of searching and applying. U will eventually find one but might take couple of months.

Other options people chose after completing MS is moving into software through consulting firms.
