Niche major vs Broader major for future scope

Question

I have admits from NEU Robotics and University of Colorado Boulder for Computer Engineering. Which field has a better scope in terms of roles and opportunities. Should one take a niche one considering it is an upcoming field or go for a generalized one where opportunities are broad.

It's better to go for computer engineering. The full-time opportunivores are similar to CS and some universities allow CE students to take up CS courses. 
Reading through the course catalog might help you decide. You might find some courses that you are interested in, that are present in one program but not the other. Browsing through the course catalog and the alumni network, I would say that the University of Colorado Boulder for Computer Engineering might be better but it's better to connect with current students and get to know the pros and cons of each college.
