Is studying in Spain worth it?

Does anyone know whether studying in Spain is worth it for the international students? How good are the universities and is master's degree from Spain valid internationally? Also, please share more insights on job prospects ins Spain for international students after completing the studies. #Spain

Hi Ashlesha, apart from the low cost of studying there compared to US or UK, there isnt much that stands out in Universities in Spain. Amongst the top 200 unis in the world, only 1 makes it at around 170 which is Universitat de Barcelona. There are others which come in the top 500, but then their impact would be less when compared to the other top unis out there in Europe. But it is a popular destination for international students nevertheless, you may not find many on yocket though!
The average tuition fees for students from outside the EU/EEA are 4,900 EUR per year, ranging from 4,000 EUR to 6,000 EUR. Tuition fees may vary for each study programme. Most popular courses in Spain would be management, business, law or social sciences and computer sciences too (its pretty much in every country now).  Although most courses are in English, you will need a bit of Spanish to get around places there too!
Spain's average annual salary is €23,000 (~$28,100), while Spain's minimum monthly wage is around €1,000 (~$1,200) per month. The monthly salary for part-time jobs is, of course, lower. Basically, the minimum salary for international students working part-time in Spain is €450 ($550).
