I got an Admit from univeristy of houston for industrial engineering with an instate tution fee waiv

I got an Admit from univeristy of houston for industrial engineering with an instate tution fee waiver , The Course struture goes as follows

I should take minimum 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and 6 credit hours in summber term , so ill finish the whole MS in 1 year
(or)
I should take minimum 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester , take the summer break and take the remaining 6 hours in the following fall .Finish in 1.5 years.

The question is will finishing in 1.5 years be a problem when it comes to job oppurtunities, as its said that the openings are low in the middle of the adacamic year ( december ) .
