Well though ranking does matter to some extent, its better to sekect the college based on your affordability, location, interneship opportunities. One of the best way to do that would be to mail the colleges and ask them to connect to the seniors or alumni and ask them(internship, assistantship opportunities in 2nd,3rd sems, quality of professors).
