Most likely any university to which you will be applying will give you a few prerequisite credit courses like Data Structures and algorithms, computer architecture, Principles of programming languages, and discrete mathematics to be completed before entering a tech grad degree. These courses can either be completed at your university and get a transcript or can be completed at the university you will be attending based on the university recommendation. These subjects are core subjects that universities check for in an applicant. The advantage of applying to data science is that the base is mathematics. Most data science or analytics programs also have Artificial intelligence subjects. Taking the above-mentioned courses from your university even before applying will definitely help your chances of getting an admit.
