I have gotten rejections from RWTH automotive engg and TU Hamburg mech engg and management. I just need to know why they say that i dont have enough past knowledge. Please evaluate my profile and let me know which colleges i may apply, where i have a decent chance of getting through.

10th - 88.2 %
12th- 93.75%
Btech in Mechanical and Automation engg - 8.6 CGPA
Toefl - 115
GRE - 317
Work experience - 3 years in R&D of leading Indian Automotive company
Have years worth of community service experience with certification
Won many certified awards in school and college
Participated in Baja India or 2 years and was Team Captain , won an award too
36 weeks of total internship experience
won many All India competitions

i need to know i am facing such rejections. It is bothering me a lot. Please do help

A friend of mine applied to rwth for cs but he got rejected for the same reason. Later he realised he hadn't met the requirements of credits on the curricular analysis

I got rejected last year. My profile is 86.47% B.E. Mechanical
96.8% in 12th
96 in 10th

1 research paper

Participation in 1 Supra, 2 Baja India events.

Active in co-cirricular and extra-cirricular activities.

B2 in german. No work experience though.

Still got rejected. I asked them the exact reason. It seems that my aggregate is not enough for that course.

Unlike the universities in US and Canada, the % of international students (other than EU) taken into German universities is less. No wonder the cutoffs were above 90% for almost all the top universities (This is only for Mechanical and automotive streams)

I'd rather say the number of applications they're receiving from India is very high.

Consider Rostock university's Computational mechanics course. Every year they used to receive 35-50 applications from India for that course. In 2017, they received 437 applications. I know this because my application got rejected for that too and I filed an appeal for the reason of rejection.

It is for this reason I have applied for Canadaian universities this year and I got admits in some of the best unis in Canada easily.

For the same reason, I didn't apply for US universities. I got an admit in UBC, Canada which is one of the best unis

they had written that i do not have internship exp, and hadnt studies few subjects, which are there in my transcript.. its just so frustrating .. there are ppl with no german knowledge and lesser of a profile, who have been admitted

USA is not an affordable place for me.. but maybe i should apply to more colleges in europe itself.. i barely applied to 4 colleges this time

they are different colleges for different course altogether.. mine is a more credit based rejection.. I dont know if there is anything i can do now to get those credits
