I have an admit from the following universities for MIS:
1) CMU -21 month track
2) UIC
3)UIUC
4)NEU
5)Syracuse
Please let me know which would be a better option in terms of ROI, job opportunities and other suggestions would be appreciated. #AskMadhavi #AskHiren

CMU> UIUC > Others . CMU surely if fianaces are not an issue.

@sayali tambe : not only the global track, but 12 and 16 months tracks are also super expensive. Global Track is exhorbitant. I honestly think it won't be great from a ROI perspective but if Finances are not an issue go for it, the brand is here to stay. Regarding other options, UIUC is a great school and is well known  as compared to others. Go for UIUC. Lastly, Syracuse has pretty decent placements according to my LinkedIn research.

Update profile such as GRE. 
Go to CMU and change over to CS in second sem. Jobs in CS is here to stay. 
MIS is a partial mgmt course. MBA finance and economics Graduate also compete for jobs.

@Karan : You mean to say UIUC ? Since the program is new there, I am a bit skeptical. Anybody would like to share their views. I mean to say both cmu and uiuc are amazing brands and have good coursework, so is cmu worth all the money?

UC is way reasonable then CMU. Jobs prospects are similar since I know seniors from both the colleges. UC ~ 25 lakhs whereas CMU was 42 lakhs. Can't comment on the rest.

CMU would take a longer time for RoI and a brand name on resume. Not much of a difference while applying for jobs since unlike India, the tech recruitment process is same for all colleges.

Can't say that. If you have an appetite for CMU then well and good. And also I have not considered NEU and others in the picture because I have no idea about them. I'm myself in a dilemma to accept UC MSBA or not :/

I guess the fees must have changed after what I have heard from seniors. I strongly recommend to calculate it again. If the difference is about 5-7 lakhs go for CMU if more than that, I'd prefer UIUC. Also I'm taking into consideration the risk we carry during uncertain visa and OPT policies.
