Confused between ASU and north-eastern university. Which will be better for a MS CS- Machine Learning/ Data Science profile? My profile summary is as follows: University - DA-IICT, Gandhinagar
Degree- BTech ICT(intended to be a mix of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication) with minor in Computational Science
MS target- Preferably MS in ML or Data Science.
CPI - 9.23/10 Rank 7/300.
Topper's CPI - 9.7 GRE Score - 331 [Q 164 V 167] (is my quant score a bit low for great universities?)
TOEFL- 115/120
Research interest- Machine Learning. Have been on projects for the past 1.5 years.
Chief projects- 1. Time series prediction and using memory enhanced, metacognitive RBF network Key words- time series, neural networks, metacognition
2. Diagnosing ADHD (a child neurological disorder) from brain MRI scans using RBM's, a deep neural network. Key words- neuro-image classification, RBM's
Research Internships- 1. 3rd Year Summer Internhip- NTU- Singapore. Worked on Proj 1 mentioned above 2.
I will return to NTU to complete my BTech project.
