Can we ask universities to consider our application for another course after getting admit ?

I got my admit for MPS DS course in University of Maryland, College Park. But I recently got to know that its not a stem course. Can I ask the university to consider my candidature for the MSBA course instead ?? Has anyone done anything of this sort.. Please suggest #masters #ms #UMD #DS
