Can I make my process easier if I hold US tourist visa and applying for F-1 Visa simultaneously?

I have received the admit from NEU Boston for Fall'23. I have even applied for I-20. I hold tourist visa which is valid till 2028 and I want to keep it till then. Can it help to make my F-1 visa process easier by any chance?, Or do I have to apply for it separately?
P.S. - I don't want to change the status of my tourist visa.
