applied to both MCS and MSCS in IIT c . got an official admit for MCS but I expected an admit in ms

applied to both MCS and MSCS in IIT c .
got an official admit for MCS but I expected an admit in ms CS .
1. should I mail them asking about the decision status for Ms CS ?
2. how does MCS and mscs differ in term of getting jobs ?
MCS in this university or ms CS from any other university ?
