Visa interview Experience:

VO: Pass me your passport.. How are you today?
ME:
(Just gave the passport only) Hello sir I am good, how are you?

VO: I am doing good too, so which university are you going to?
ME:
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

VO: What are you going to be studying there?
ME:
Masters in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.

VO: Is this the same subject that you studied in your undergrad?
ME:
Yes.

VO: When did you graduate?
ME:
May 2017.

VO: How are you going to pay your tuition fees?.
ME:
I have availed an education loan and the rest is going to be sponsored by my family.
And then VO typed something for like 10 seconds.

VO: (He kept my passport) Your visa has been approved..(he said something after that but I couldn't hear anything.I was totally surprised!)
ME:
Thank you!

So as you can see, it was just a conversation with a few basic questions. He didn't even ask for my I-20 or SEVIS! I had every freaking document ready with me but all he asked for was my passport!
All the best to everyone who have their interviews coming up! It can be scary but you just need to be calm and confident while answering, be very precise and don't talk unnecessarily.
