Visa Interview Experience:

The VO was a tall man in his 30's or so
The interview took less than 2 minutes, but the wait until I reached my counter, that was quite frustrating.

VO: Pass me your passport.
(Passed)
VO: Which university?
ME:
California State University, Sacramento.

VO: What’s your GRE score?
ME:
302.

VO: Who is funding you?
ME:
My parents are sponsoring me.

VO: What does your father do?
ME:
He retired as an asst. commissioner from the xxx department, government of Kerala.

VO: Have you taken any loans?
This time I couldn't understand what he said, so I was like "sir?"
He repeated again "have you taken any loans?"
I heard the last word and was quite confused. So he repeated the last word again "LOANS?"
ME: No, Sir.

VO: Ok, your visa is approved (rest of what he said wasn’t clear or maybe I couldn’t hear him because I was on cloud nine).
The only document that was asked, was my passport.

Finally overcame the biggest hurdle in the whole process. A dream come true indeed.
