Same question, (from STEM student perspective) if looking into the current job market as many tech companies are firing employees or already fired, and also there is hiring freeze. the situation is not gonna improve at least a couple of  years. Also the violence which happens in USA (mass shooting for instance) are more than lets say any of European countries , Canada or Australia. I know quality of life , job opportunities , salaries are components where USA wins. But if are on H1B, you can't have additional source of income basically you are owned by your employer (can't switch that easily) and if you are fired, you have 60 days to find another job who is willing to sponsor you otherwise Goodbye.

Hey! The main reason, I think, is US provides better job opportunities and it has some of the most high ranking universities globally. The universities in the US offer great programs and really great research opportunities.

Also, there is a good chance of securing a job irrespective of your field, because US has more diverse job market as compared to other countries.

It’s hard to find these benefits in Canada, although, the PR thing looks appealing. Finding jobs there is tough, from what I’ve read and heard.

If someone says quality of Education, don't even believe. The quality of education is same as in India except for some ivy leagues and some few better Qs ranking Universities compared to IITs
I think It's the job market, the high paying salaries and the better lifestyle compared to India.

But if someone’s goal is to study to get a good job, and eventually settle where he works, then which country is better USA or Canada.
