@Akshay your CGPA is low by CS standards, the only advantage you have as of now is that your University is reputed..just a good GRE score will not suffice for you considering the kind of profiles that are flying around for CS..I'm assuming you want to get into a Top 20 university and not just settle for the minnows ...get some work ex, 24 months will be good and give the GRE simultaneously..320+ is a must..joining a consultancy is totally upto you, there are some good consultancies around if you think you need help but do your research before joining..All the Best!
