As everyone knows students already holding a previous US Visa of any kind in the last 10 years typically have been given the relief of not attending the Video Interview. I have come across a lot of people who are rather confused about what to carry and what not for their DROPBOX appointment. So after talking to a bunch of people who have already gone through this have given me a curated list of documents which they were asked during their DROPBOX appointment. This list typically consists of documents most commonly asked and can vary too. So always carry extra set of documents too and not completely rely on this. List of Documents: 1. Appointment Confirmation (VAC Dropbox appointment) 2. I20 - 2 copies 3. SEVIS Fee 4. DS-160 confirmation 5. Passport(s) - with all preexisting US visas 6. Financial Support docs for safe side 7. Passport photos in US visa format- 2 To be safe carry other documents which seems relevant to you depending on different cases. They might also ask you for a proof of a certain document you submitted so be thorough on your paperwork to avoid any confusion during the apartment. Your interview waiver doesn't mean you are exempted so at any point they can call you for a Video Interview so be very honest with your paperwork as well. I have decent scores in both GRE(320) and TOEFL(102) but after consulting an agency, they’ve shattered all my hopes. Apparently, all the top 200 universities reject home based scores and all I can get admits from are lower end safe universities and private ones. Is this true? Please help. #applicationprocess

I hope yall are having a great day. I just came back from the Mumbai US consulate with section 214 b rejection. I wanna share my experience word-word would appreciate your feedback. VO : Good Morning, Sir. Me : Good morning Sir, How are you? VO : Pass your documents, please. Me : *passes* VO : So you are going to X university. Me : Yes VO : Why do you wish to go to X. Me : It's a leading research university-(interupts) VO : What is it leading in? Me : In a lot of things, particularly in research at the intersection of data science and social science. talk about ... professors I like and courses I like.(stumbled a bit at the beginning) VO : How many universities did you apply in? ME : 10 VO : How many did you get an admit to? Me : 3 VO : What were they ? Me : X and Y university (fumbled the Y uni name a bit) VO : I am sorry i cannot grant you the Visa Me : Alright thank you. VO : f**k off now Ok maybe the last part is a bit exaggerated, but I heard this VO rejects a lot of interviewees and I'm kinda salty.
