A quick question.
I am planning to give GRE in September last week. would it be okay if I plan my TOEFL exam in October mid. or Do I need to work on the dates and Plan both the exam in September only?

I had taken GRE during the last week of September and appeared for TOEFL in the first week of November since no dates were available in October. Even if you take TOEFL in November, you'd have ample of time for applications. Don't worry about that and as far as preparation for TOEFL is concerned, it's relatively much simpler than GRE and 80-90% of the vocabulary is what you'd learnt up until your high school.

TOEFL requires a maximum of a week's preparation. If you thoroughly follow Notefull's videos on YouTube, that would easily make you land near 100+.

If you wish to join some particular university, then look for it's deadlines (be it fall or spring 2019). If you have enough time for the deadline, then go ahead and take it in October, provided you're confident that you would score good in the first attempt( because you'll again not have time even if you have a second thought- 10-12 days for the result and the next slot), otherwise give it in September. I would suggest you to go with September because this exam doesn't require much of the preparation and also, you'll be in the track of GRE verbal so that might help you to give all at once.

@ShubhamMiddha dealine for Austin is december and for A and M, deadline is Jan.. So u will have time.. if u are planning to take toefl by october end, use the time in between ur GRE and TOEFL exams to prepare ur SOP, LORs and applying for transcripts.. Hope it helps ! :)

Thanks! As I see there are no dates available around the first week of October so would it be late to give it around October mid  keeping in mind the university deadlines? Any suggestions! Should I give it in September end in this scenario?
