There are a lot of students who are confused about the VISA Acceptance for US.
First and Foremost Obtaining a visa is not a lottery. Every case is individual. First you must meet all the requirements of the school including financial evidence that you have the money to pay for school and the scholastic aptitude and English ability to succeed at a US School.
When it comes to applying and interviewing for the visa at the US Consulate, you must be prepared, which is the best predictor of success. As for your chances, no one can say. Do you have a criminal background? You just reduced your “chances”. Do you have $100,000 in your personal bank account? You just increased your “chances”. Is your spouse a permanent resident living in the US having already applied for your Green card? You just decreased your “chances”. Are you leaving your spouse and minor children in your homeland while you study? You just increased your “chances”. Have you participated in riots in your homeland? You just decreased your “chances”.
Everything depends on your particular situation, so no one can predict what YOUR chances are.
However, most F-1 applicants get approved, but those are the ones with all their documents in order, those who have a clean background and the confidence to face the consular officer with a smile and straight answers.
