VO: how many did you apply in total?
Me: 9
VO: Why SUNY buffalo?
Me: Because of the coursework and research work going on at the University which matches my interest.
Vo: so what's your source of funding?
Me: I've liquid funds, sir(interrupted)
VO: liquid funds? Who are your sponsors? Your parents right?
Me: yes, sir.
Vo: what does your dad do?
Me: He works at the national remote sensing centre at ISRO, sir.
Vo: what's his annual income?
Me: around 26 lakhs.
VO: what are your plans after graduation?
Me: Automobile industry is booming in India, sir. I want to use the knowledge gained during my Ms degree here and get a job.
VO: typed for sometime, said, I'm sorry but I've to reject your visa at the moment, thank you. Handed me 214(b) form.

2nd attempt

VO: good morning! Hand me your passport.
Me: gave.
VO: can you pass me your i20 as well?
Me: gave.
VO: so which school are you going to?
Me: SUNY at buffalo
VO: Which course?
Me: MS in mechanical engineering
VO: how many universities did you apply in total?
Me: 8 other ma'am.
Vo: can you name them?
Me: named
VO: You passed out at 2017, what did you do during the year break?
Me: I had to attend my sister's marriage ma'am and also I prepared for my gre and TOEFL again and retook the exams and applied to universities again.
Vo: typed for a long time, sorry I've to reject your visa application now. Gave me a 214(b) form again.
Me: This is the second time I'm getting rejected. Can you please give me a reason as to why?
Vo: Sorry, sir. I can't.

Can anyone point out to me what mistake I did during the second attempt? and also suggest if you'd recommend trying a third time.
