When is the right time to write exams like gre and ielts for fall 2023

I will give you a complete schedule. In my opinion, Gre can be prepared in 2 to 4 months. Toefl wont take any special prep. So you target ideally should be to get done with tests in july first week. There is no point in preparing for more than 4 months. So prepare accordingly and set a date for yourself. In my case for fall 22, i started preparing in December and gave my gre in April. Once gre and toefl is out of the way, you can focus on shortlisting universities, writing sop with multiple revisions, draft lors(as many profs want it that way) and so on.
