I will not say NIU is near to Chicago because there is NO connectivity to Chicago and literally u will be TRAPPED in DeKalb, a suburban. U should have car if u want to move from one place to another.

Hello! NIU is not far from Chicago so you likely will have a lot of opportunity to find a job in that city.  As far as the individual college is concerned, the university should be able to provide you some information on job opportunities after school.
