No, go with it. I'm applying for the same around mid August. I guess deadlines are around Sept 15.

I'd suggest you to do more research on what curriculum you like. You seem to have a good profile. Can get into top 40 with a good sop and lor.

Go for UIC. You'll get it. Though deadlines has been passed away but, still you can contact admission committee and submit your application exceptionally
