Hi,

RIT CS should be your pick.

Compare the courses offered by both the programs. If you are completely interested in Computer Science or Data Science then definitely give preference to CS over DAE.

RITs CS will have 3 pre reqs which are compulsory. That adds to the tuition fees and also adds another semester. So tuition fees for both schools will be similar. RIT has a great coop program tho. You will find many companies hiring from RITs portal for internships and coops. A coop will increase the length of the program from 2 year to 2.5 or 3 years. Fantasatic ROI.

Living expenses in Boston is expensive compared to Rochester.

However, doing a MS in CS is always better. MS DAE will give you less opportunities.

My suggestion will be to go for RIT CS for the ROI, Coop and primarily cause of the major being CS.

Hello! answering your question is a bit hard without knowing what you’re looking for.

Having said that, if you’d want a higher salary, flexibility then I’d recommend CS.

On the other hand if you’re passionate about Data Analytics and know what you’re doing then go with the Data Analytics.
