i gave it twice - july and aug. Perfect and smooth. I used mobile hotspot with 10mbps speed.

Hello, I took my GRE at home on 2nd July. In the very beginning, with all the proctor and connectivity checks the process was smooth. Then the issue essay section appeared, and after reading the general rules I clicked the 'next' tab. The software didn't respond. I clicked the tab again, and unfortunately, entire issue essay section got skipped. The confirmation page (which asks if you really want to skip) didn't appear as well. I continued with the test as it is. Rest of the sections were smooth (no network issue) but I have to retake the GRE. 
So I would suggest if you have a very strong internet connection, go ahead (I had good internet connection, still this happened). 
Otherwise, it's better to go to a test center.
