The grad school finder says MS in CS at NYU is ambitious for me. Would anyone like to comment on that?

GRE - 309(Q-159, V-150, AWA-4)
IELTS - 8(W-7, S-7, L-8.5, R-9)
Undergrad - 66%

It will be ambitious++ for you. NYU MSCS comes in top 30 programs in US!!! I would not apply there  if I were you..

My consultant  contacted  "ex courant  admission committee  members".For my profile review.Here's their reply

"There is no substantial experience with any skills that NYU values. This student might get into many good programs in the world, but not at NYU - we are way more particular and clear in whom do we want on board. Not that it is the student's fault, but NYU does not look forward to students who do not have sufficient experience with at least two of the research areas at NYU. This student's most comprehensive experience is with Coding and web crawler program. He must look up our website, look up the research of each professor in his area(s) of interest, identify what has he done till now which will help him contribute to the existing research, and establish a direct link in the academic statement of purpose. At NYU Courant, applicants are not valued for what they have done. They are valued for what have they done relevant to what they want to do ahead. Extra curricular or any other achievements therefore are of no interest to us. An Academic Statement of Purpose is a 70-30 mix. 70% should talk about area of interest, what is the student interested in exploring, how does he visualize his next five to ten years in this field, what kind of research or jobs does he look forward to, how does he see himself growing over this phase in terms of skills and knowledge. We need tangible answers, not philosophical or aspiration based vision. The remaining 30% is research or projects directly relevant to area of interest. If a student does not convince us that he/she knows the inside out of the program at NYU, we do not see his/her chances of getting through."

Read it carefully. This review is for  my profile. Check my profile, check your  profile then compare. You  will get  clear idea what  I am trying to say.

You don't  have any chances of getting  through, unless you have something extraordinary to show. I don't want  to demotivate you. But this is bitter truth. 
Yes,You should apply for 2 3 ambitious programs. But atleast you must have 30 40% chances of admit. Applying to university which has very little chances(10%) is not a wise move. If you have a lot of money, you can waste it.

You didn't see their replay clearly. I gave this entire reply not to relate my profile, but to understand their expectation. They need students who have work or research experience in their current reasearch  field. I already said "If you have something  extraordinary then you can apply". The main point here is he can't  make through with this profile unless he show something expected by courant committee..

@nimitjohri I saw your profile  on yocket. Work experince  as .net developer and no reasearch  experince. By comparing your current profile with their expecation and based on your current profile, you have very  less chances of making through. If you die hard  fan of this program, you can try your luck(as my friend @Xemi48 said, exception may occure)!!

Dont depend on others opinions here, no one is an expert in admits. You can apply and if they like your SOP and LOR then you might stand a chance. You can try your luck with 2-3 ambitious universities.

That is for your profile mate. Dont get me wrong but it is not necessary that others will get a reject as well. Let me give you an example' my classmate applied to UF ( among top 30 program for mech), at that time he had 2 uncleared backlogs, GRE 305, TOEFL88 and a CGPA less than 7! And guess what he received an admit from UF ( from an ambitious++ ) and my class topper with GPA of 4/4 received a reject from the university. So you can relate to the illogical admit decisions. 
Your scores are good @NikhilNavadiya but there might be something missing in your profile! Again no hard feeling. I am just trying to relate an experience here

@NirmitJohri All I want to say is if you really want to go to NYU because you like the program and if you have the resources then you may take a chance with this one. But be careful to add more safe universities to your shortlist. You dont want to end up empty handed.

@NimitJohri make sure you have a strong SOP which covers all the points that Nikhils profile review show. GIVE SOLID ANSWERS AND EXPRESS YOUR PASSION FOR THIS FIELD.
