Admission Data Science

Question

Greetings.   
    
  My entire focus throughout Bachelors (Mech) has been on Computational techniques like FEM and CFD and developing manual MATLAB and Python codes.   
    
  My profile is as follows:  
  CGPA - 9.26  
  International paper relating to fluid mechanics (SCI & Scopus indexed) - 1  
  Work experience: Simulation Engineer, Tata Aerospace and Defense Limited - 1 year  
  Research Internships (IISC & IIT ) - 8 months.   
    
  I want to shift towards DS for my postgraduate studies, or a field which is closer to DS ( I am thinking of Computational Science). Do I have any chance of getting into a good DS program in the USA.   
    
  Any suggestion regarding short listing of universities or anything overall would be very helpful.

Data Science is not restricted to people with CS background. I have seen professionals in medicine, sales become Data Scientists. Your profile is good enough to get into noteworthy institutions.
