Visa Interview Experience:

Reached there by 8 o’clock, was waiting until I was allowed to stand in the 9:45 Queue, joined the queue went all the way through and joined the final queue(after reverifying my fingerprints)

ME: Hello, good morning
VO: Hi, good morning. Did you give your Sevis fees?
ME: Yes.

VO: So, why are you going to USA?
ME: For pursuing MS in MIS from Utah state University.

VO: Can you pass me your i20?
ME: Yeah, here it is!

VO: Why Utah state University?
ME: Frankly because of scholarship, GA and technical exposure.

VO: Which other in universities have you been accepted and rejected?
ME: Accepted: UTD, OSU. Rejected: University of Arizona

VO: Who is going to sponsor you?
ME: My father and loan taken from HDFC Credila.

VO: Did you get an OPT option? And have you resigned from your current job?
ME: Yes since its a stem course(answered politely and honestly) and I am in notice period.

VO: Your visa is approved, All the best.
ME: Thank you.

• VO was a young girl, nicely behaved but was a little inaudible.
• Overall process took 1.5 hours, give or take
• be confident and be precise when you are talking, You will get the visa, just don’t elaborate your words unnecessarily. And by the way she asked for nothing except i20 and passport.
