The main campus of Umea University is located in Umea, in the mid-northern region of Sweden. It is the site where almost all the research and teaching of the university continues. The campus is close to the city centre, and travelling by bicycle or bus is relatively easy. In addition, the Umea campus is easily accessible via railways, buses, cars, ferries, and planes.
- The heart of the Umea campus is Universum, where all the study centres, information hubs, restaurants, and cafes are located. Adjacent to the Universum is Aula Nordica – an auditorium for academic ceremonies, concerts, and likewise.
- The Umea campus is equipped with high-tech classrooms, labs, libraries, and other facilities. It has various learning centres, study rooms, lounge areas, eateries, and so forth.
- Another campus of Umea University is the Umea Arts Campus, located next to the picturesque Ume River and is in the vicinity of Umea City Center. As the name suggests, the Arts campus encompasses the Umea Institute of Design, Umea Academy of Fine Arts, and Umea School of Architecture.
