Visa interview clarification

I will be appearing for my visa interview soon. My father has savings and i have secured loan but my dad is retired. He doesn't get pension as he was in the private sector but he has his bonds and etc. Will this retirement thing cause an issue in the interview? How do I tackle the question 'what does your dad do'.
