Guys, I’m planning to pursue an M.Sc. in Robotics from Canada (Aiming for McGill, UoT, UoWaterloo).
1. Is it advisable to take the GRE?
2. How many universities should one apply to to be on the safe side? 
3. Also, if you guys have any suggestions, please write them up.

Hey Sonal,

If you are planning to pursue engineering/technology related Master degree at the top universities in Canada, a few of them would require a GRE score and those where a GRE score is not mandatory, a good score of 320+ would make your profile better. So it is advisable to take the GRE test and add the scores to the application since Canadian universities are quite competitive and academic centric.

Whenever you want to apply at universities, you should have a good shortlist ready which should not only have your dream/ambitious universities but also target and safe. So the proportion of these would depend on how many universities you would like to apply at and your profile since the shortlist will be profile specific.
