The program transforms students into professional engineers who develop solutions for building and maintaining secure data infrastructure, design intelligent utility networks, smart grids and mobile wireless networks and advance nanotechnology and biochips. Students focus on the fundamentals of both electrical and computer engineering, in addition to choosing academic tracks or areas of specialization. Texas Engineering graduates go on to work in nearly every aspect of technological advancement and innovation, including wireless networking, medical imaging, robotics and software development.

Academic Pre-Requisites

Standardized Test -

  • Middle 50%
  • SAT: 1260 – 1410
  • ACT: 28 – 33
  • Freshman applicants can show calculus readiness by submitting one of the following -
  • An SAT Math score of 620 or above
  • An ACT Math score of 26 or above
  • An Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus AB or BC test score of 3 or higher;
  • An International Baccalaureate (IB) HL or SL Mathematics score of 4 or higher; or
  • TOEFL: 79 (internet-based test)
  • IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
