Academic Pre-Requisites

The following is a list of requirements applicants must fulfill in order to successfully apply for the MS-IS program at Northeastern University:

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Transcripts from all institutions attended
  • Official GRE scores
  • Statement of Purpose (between 500 and 1,000 words, traditional font at 11- or 12-pt)
  • Professional Résumé and/or Curriculum Vitae
  • TOEFL, PTE, or IELTS for international applicants (they may be exempted from the requirement if they submit documentation proving they received a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a college or university in which English was the only language of instruction.)
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or similar field.
