Question

Hello everyone,  
  I am looking for MS CS/MSIS in Fall'23. Can you please help me whether I should apply to below universities or not-  
    
  UMass Amhrest  
  UT Austin  
  Purdue University  
  UC Irvine  
  UNC chapel hill  
  Univ of Maryland  
  University Of Wisconsin-Madison  
  Georgia Institute of Technology  
    
  please find my profile below-   
  Btech - NIT Jaipur, 2019 (in ECE, CGPA-7.1)  
  GRE - 324 (168Q, 156V, 3AWA)  
  Research papers - 0  
  relevant Certificates - 1  
  work ex - 4 yrs as software engineer (by sept 2023)  
    
  It would be really nice if you can suggest some other universities.

Based on Your Profile and your Requirements, I'd say that all the colleges you have stated are all ambitious i.e. 5-20% Chances of getting an Admit , So I'd Apply to only 2-3 Uni's From Your List.

*p.s. It's Easier to get an admit in a costlier college like Northwestern , U Mich Ann Arbor than an affordable one

Leaving all the Stuff Aside , Do know that if You have A Solid SOP, LOR's and Apply the earliest you might even get admits from most of the colleges you might wish from.

You can compare the curriculums, concentration, electives and location of the particular program offered by the respective universities to which you would want / have applied to, as they might be the most significant factors in your decision-making process. Also, reach out to the alumnis of the program of your choice, on LinkedIn, as some of them might reply to you. Additionally, you can go through the popular rankings websites such 'QS RANKINGS 2022', 'US NEWS RANKINGS 2022', 'TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION RANKINGS 2022' and 'Forbes US University Rankings 2021'. Also, you should consider the factors such as 'Admission requirements for International students (I am assuming that you are an Indian citizen), 'Cost of living', 'Year-round weather conditions', 'CPT & OPT opportunities that maybe offered by the university'. Also, you can contact the college representatives via the email id and/or contact number on the respective program page, department page or university website. Hope this helps you to get better clarity than before.

All the universities u mentioned are among world's top 150 Universities... it's not that easy to get admission from those universities...try your luck
