University Confirmation

Question

Is it worth going to SUNY Polytechnic Institute for Computer Science program (Didn't received scholorships or GA position)?

Amongst the regional universities in the North, SUNY Poly is one of the top 15 universities (This is amongst regional colleges, and not the ones that are nationally recognised). It is a good college for its cost factor, but it would obviously nowhere be close to its competitors in New York.
Talk to your seniors in that institute and see how they obtained assistantships. Generally many students are offered this once they are a part of the university and they get familiar with professors, so getting an assistantship directly off the bat is uncommon for MS students.
So if you dont have any better admits, go for this as you never know how tough the next intake will be. But if you are waiting for other admits, then by all means hold on for a while!
