Master's selection! Iowa State VS IUB

Question

Hi everyone in the HCI field! I'm confused about college selection and could use some help. I've been admitted into Iowa State university and Indiana university Bloomington for HCI Master's this year and am wondering which to go for.

Based on world rankings, Indiana is higher however looking at specifically HCI rankings, Iowa state is ranked higher by many of the websites... Any help by current or previous students is welcome! Iowa state

Hi,

IUB is a clear winner. HCI is a Great program at IUB, one of the best ones. Fantastic professors and courses. Academically very strong compared to other schools you mentioned.  The location is not good; however, the location has taken a back seat due to covid so it's no longer a critical factor.  Good alumni network as well.

I would suggest you go with IUB.

Hi Ketan! May I know why you think IUB has the best program? From what I've read the core courses at IUB are a bit more design theory based than Iowa state, which has some more technical electives. 
Also, as a commentor has previously mentioned, Iowa and Indiana's HCI programs both rank similarly?
