Hi Vijay, as per Rent cafe, the average rent in Phily is $1,812	for a house of 797 sq. ft. You wont necessarily stay in a house that big but on a safe estimate, I'd say assume your monthly rent to be anywhere between 700-1200 USD per month (excludin utilities). If you share a bedroom then you can possibly cut down that expense by half, but as a margin of tolerance calculate your expenses keeping rent in the range of 500-800 usd/ month so that you will end up with more money at the end of the month to save!
