Here are some of the things that might help you for GRE -

1. ETS official material - You will get to know the level of the exam
2. Manhattan prep 5 lb - Not necessary to solve everything
3. Magoosh portal - Online portal will tell you exactly the category of questions that you are good at and which ones you need to work on. This type of assessment helps a lot.

Note - From my personal experience - Give as many full-length tests with a strategy as possible. You won't see the difference after 3-4 tests but after 12-14 tests, you will gain a lot of confidence. Even yocket has a few tests.

The following institutions provide free practice GRE tests:
ETS - 2 free test, I will recommend buying a 3rd one
Manhattan - If you buy any book, you will get 6 tests with it valid for 6 months or 1 year.

Also, I would recommend buying a 2nd hand online portal like magoosh. The portal will tell you the category of questions you are weak or strong at. Many portals also come with a few practice tests.

Verbal -
1. Magoosh Verbal flashcards vocab app
2. Kaplan commonly used GRE vocab words
3. Read New York Times articles

AWA - Read sample essays and topics on the official ets website, Manhattan prep books. Search for the topic directly on the net. You will get an essay. Make a template for yourself if that's easier for you. Practice 30 minutes sessions.  23-25 minutes for the content and 5-8 minutes for reviewing the entire essay.

In the final 20 to 30 days, I would recommend you to go through the magoosh app for vocab, give full-length timed tests, and practice only the questions which you are good at. Try not to waste too much time per question. If you do not know then mark and move on. Remember each question in GRE no matter the difficulty can get you only 1 point.

The factors that affect your chances (from highest to lowest weightage) for a tech degree are-
Bachelor's CGPA/percentage, GRE, TOEFL score, Projects accomplished(profile of a student for the degree, competitions won if any, research work if any. certifications won't have that much impact 
I am so glad you are reaching out this early to start your study abroad journey. I would say that - make your profile fit for a particular field like Ai, cloud, security or any other field that you might be interested in. Let's say for instance you are interested in AI.
1. Start with python, learn Github (very imp), upload your projects on github. A lot of people just upload the projects to GitHub and leave them. Do not do this. Make a front end for it and publish using GitHub pages or any other publishing tool. 3-4 published useful projects are better to show than 6-7 non-published projects.
2. Compete in Kaggle competitions as much as possible.
3. Andrew Neg's AI Coursera certifications are good to gain knowledge, university of Washington AI specialization, Stanford ML, deep learning specialization by deeplearnin,ai. Not necessary to complete all of these. But it's good to have on a resume. Udemy has a few good courses also but i don't remember them. Start with Udemy and then move on to Coursera.
4. Write an AI research paper in a reputed institution like IEEE or Springer. Give paper conference in IIT level institution. USA universities will look for research if any in the profile of an applicant.
5, Complete at least 1 internship in the AI field in the summer. If are from India, you will have to search for an internship at least 6 months early to avoid the competition.
6. For your final year project, an industry AI/ML project is better than an in-house project. You will get to solve real-world challenges.
7. Try to get as good grades as possible in data science, AI, and ML subjects. This will not only help you to get an admit in the AI field degree but also help you to get a TA or RA in the same field.
You can follow similar steps for the field you might be interested in. Lastly, Applying early for your master's degree would be best. But if your profile is expected to be improved drastically in a month or 2, then waiting is also a good decision. Example - If you are expecting a promotion then wait. DO NOT WAIT till December. You will face problems like lagging, document uploading problems, and email replies from the universities that would take more time. Applying early in the 1st week of application acceptance will not only increase your chances of getting funding but also increase the chances of getting an admit. Universities tend to be lenient at the start of application acceptance and not so much as you approach near the deadline.

Visa and Duolingo have no correlation. As long as Duolingo is accepted at the university to which you are applying, you will be eligible to apply with Duolingo.
