Hey I was denied visa under 214(b) 6 months ago. I will post the visa interview detail. Can you please help me find the flaws and any thing I can improve as I am really not able to figure out my mistake. I would be very thankful to u.
Visa interview experience:
Location: Delhi
University: North Dakota State University
Course:MS in Computer science
background: BE in Electronics and comm. but 4.5 years experience of software development
University fees: $ 26k (14k tuition and rest living expenses)
My funding on i20: $ 16.5k (TA and tuiotion waiver) + $ 28k personal funds

Sky got really darkkk and it started raining massively. Got wet and after half an hour I went inside. I was the first one to get interviewed by that visa officer for that day.
VO: Good morning.Pass me your i20 and passport.
Me: good morning sir. Here they are.
VO: How many uni have you applied to? how many admits?
Me: Sir i applied to 8 uni. Got admitted to 7 of them.and they are .............
Vo: Why this uni?
me: sir, i shortlisted the names of universities which are providing software and AI related course altogether and i wanted to specialize in them and found the courses and research at NDSU aligns with that of mine. The faculty:student ration is 1:16 which means the professors can guide us more efficiently. Plus this was the only university that provided me funding.
vo: Why computer science? (may be bcoz i was from electrncs background)
me: in the final year of my undergraduate, i started interested in programming more rather than the electronics part and completed a project in AI. after my undergraduate too, joined the software development company and working in this filed for 4.5 years however, i believe i lack advanced knowledge to trigger the personal growth and thus want to pursue MS in computer science.
vo: who is funding you?
me: my parents are funding me and i also have my personal savings.
vo: what is your salary?
me: (got stucked as i knew monthly salary in rupees. i thought i should convert into yearly and also in dollars): 60k rupees per month. means around 7 lakks per annum.
vo: what does your father do?
me: he has whole sale and retail grocery business.
vo: what's your plan after MS?
me: sir, i am working in a startup with my friends and after completing my MS, i will come back and rejoin the company.
(vo paused a bit. may be he was expecting more but i was nervous)
vo: sorry i can not issue your visa. u can reapply if you wish to later.
Right now I have completed a semester with 4.0 gpa online and my visa interview date is approaching. Please suggest me anything that will help. I dont wanna restart again as i have already completed 1 sem and dont wanna get dropped out of uni bcoz of visa rejection.
