Admission for Universities

Question

I have an IELTS score of 6.5. But, I want to try out for a few universities which have an IELTS minimum requirement of 7. Is there any chance can I get admitted to these universities?

Hi Arun,

If you do not meet the minimum requirements set by the university, they won't even review your application because the initial round involves screening the minimum requirements and then they go ahead with the applications that meet the minimum requirements for further assessment. 
However, some universities waive off IELTS completely if you have completed your undergrad at an institute where medium of teaching was english language. But, this is only applicable for limited universities and you should check for these details on the admissions website of your shortlisted universities. 
If that isn't mentioned then should try and reappear for IELTS.
