Visa Information and Pre-Departure Orientation Sessions – Fall 2018
If you have been admitted to a U.S. university for Fall 2018, EducationUSA India invites you for a Pre-Departure Orientation.
The PDO is a half-day program that will provide admitted students an opportunity to interact with students who are currently enrolled at U.S. universities, alumni and consular staff. The panel discussions will cover various aspects related to U.S higher education, adjustment to a new academic, social and cultural life in the U.S. Refreshments will be provided.
Topics covered will broadly include:
- Last week in India,
- Entry in the U.S.,
- First Week on Campus,
- Academic Life,
- Accommodation and Life in the U.S.,
- Socio-cultural Issues, Life After your Studies.
Please note: The PDO is free for all valid USIEF members; non-members need to pay INR 500. Parents of graduate students are not permitted in the PDO. Undergraduate students may be accompanied by a parent who will also need to pay Rs. 500. Please feel free to call us at 022-22624603 if you have any questions.
